i i i i i ARCHIsquad je neprofitna nevladina udruga mladih arhitekata iz Zagreba koja se bavi problemima socijalne arhitekture. Svrha i cilj djelovanja Udruge unaprjeđenje je kvalitete življenja socijalno ugroženih pojedinaca i skupina kroz djelovanje na području arhitekture, dizajna i bliskih im područja. Primarna aktivnost grupe dijagnosticiranje je prostornih, socijalnih, kulturnih i ekonomskih problema, te predlaganje konkretnih operativnih modela rješenja. Uz to, ARCHIsquad se bavi edukacijom i informiranjem o socijalnim inicijativama u arhitekturi i dizajnu, organiziranjem predavanja i radionica, promicanjem solidarnosti kao i senzibiliziranjem javnosti za aktualne društvene probleme.
Aktivirana web stranica uskoro će sadržavati sve informacije o Udruzi i njezinim projektima, medijateku, referentne projekte, te novosti čime se teži da rad grupe bude maksimalno transparentan, a njegovi rezultati svima dostupni. Također se želi potaknuti socijalna misao i inicijativa na Arhitektonskom fakultetu Sveučilišta u Zagrebu u smislu izrade arhitektonskih projekata socijalne tematike koji će biti izravno društveno korisni. Želja je formirati i fondaciju preko koje će se prikupljati sredstva za izgradnju projekata.
Svrha je svih tih aktivnosti formirati jedan plemeniti stav koji razvija svjesnost o pomaganju potrebitih kroz teoretski i praktični rad: od istraživanja projekata preko prijedloga rješenja do potpune provedbe.
Udruga trenutno priprema nastavak prošlogodišnjeg ciklusa predavanja pod nazivom Izvan fokusa :: Arhitektura davanja.
Osim spomenutog ciklusa predavanja, ARCHIsquad je u fazi provedbenih planova i dogovora za početak izgradnje projekta Zdravstvenog centra za lokalnu zajednicu u okolici grada Karatu u Tanzaniji.
i i i i i ARCHIsquad is a Zagreb-based architectural NGO group involved in building socially aware environments and promoting social consciousness through architecture. Squad’s purpose and goal lies in the improvement of the quality of living standards of socially endangered individuals and groups through activism within architecture, design and similar fields. The group’s main activity is diagnosing spatial, social, cultural and economic issues, followed by suggesting direct operative solution models. Along with this, ARCHIsquad provides information and education on social initiatives in architecture and design by organizing lectures and workshops. It attempts to make the public sensitive to major social problems, and promotes solidarity.
The web site about the group and its projects will soon be completed, and beside the already mentioned data, will include a media data base, reference projects, news. Thus ARCHIsquad is trying to make its work as much as transparent and the results available to everyone. Also, there's an idea for promoting social initiatives at the Faculty of architecture in Zagreb in the form of making architectural projects with an obvious social consciousness which will be directly useful to society. One of the ideas is to form a foundation which will provide financial means for projects.
Purpose of all these activities is forming a noble attitude which develops and increases the awareness of helping the ones in need through theoretical and practical work: from project research over suggested solutions to complete realization.
The group is in the middle of preparations for the sequel of 2007 cycle of lectures under the title Out of Focus: Architecture of Giving.
Besides the mentioned lecture series, the group is in the process of conducting plans and procedures for the building of a health clinic for local community near the city of Karatu, Tanzania.
